Long-form brand storytelling pays off over time. Our branded documentaries keep attracting viewers long after release. Instead of peaking instantly, they grow slowly over weeks and months. One film doubled its views between 12 and 18 months after launch. Making more documentaries also boosted views across the whole catalogue.

Complaint - Friday 20th February 2026 - Big W Livingston - Tech Desk - Maureen

To Management - Big W Livingston

I want to make a formal complaint about Maureen, who served me at the Tech Desk on Friday 20 February 2026 at 8:00 AM during the Pokemon Ascended Heroes release.

Today I queued for 30 minutes with my partner and Maureen said there’s a household rule banning people from the same household buying Pokémon together. She singled me out in front of everyone, even though other families were buying Pokémon cards together. She recognised me because I often come in to ask about Pokémon cards and tech products.

I don’t like that she assumed my partner and I live together. I showed my driver’s licence to prove we don’t live together. She asked a colleague if they can sell Pokémon to people in the same household, and the colleague said yes — it was never a rule.

I’m unhappy with how this was handled. I felt discriminated and embarrassed when she called me out in front of a long line of other customers.

Livingston Market Place is my local Big W and I know some of the staff — they’re lovely. But whenever Maureen serves me, usually when I buy Pokémon cards, she’s rude and seems annoyed when I ask questions. It makes me uncomfortable and not want to shop at Livingston.

Please contact me about this — I don’t appreciate being treated this way.

Many thanks,

Kirsten Barker
